Information technologies (IT) and information systems (IS) are the backbone of any developed business, organizations without them cannot compete. In recent decades, many best practices standards, guides have been made available to project managers aimed improve management. Unfortunately, IS projects continue show a poor track record, problems related management performance persists. Risk has vital role in this context since it can increase likelihood impact positive events, decrease adverse events project. This article presents results an international web-based survey, studying if risk processes being implemented consistently The obtained low levels implementation reinforce idea that “it be risky not do management,” demanding more research area.
